· It is now legal to make a U-Turn at a stop light controlled intersection when the light is green and absent any signage that strictly prohibits U-turns.
· Fire Department 2009 Annual Report Burning Yard Waste · Only on Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday from 8 am to 7 pm · Wind speeds must not exceed 15 mph · Piles must be No larger than 5’ in diameter and 2’ high · Piles must be at least 10’ from the rear lot line, 15’ from the side lot line, and 25’ from the front lot line If you see a violation, call the Fire Station at 262-782-8932. They will respond if not already out on an emergency call. Again, if you must burn, please respect the rules and your neighbors. · Having a Block Party? The Brookfield Fire Department will make a stop with a fire rig and/or ambulance if they are not called away on an emergency. Simply call 262-782-8932 to schedule. · The Recycle Center is now accepting the following items: Desktop computers, Desktop printers, including printers combined with fax machines, scanners and copiers, Video display devices of at least 7” long in the longest diagonal dimension including TV's, laptops and computer monitors. Computer peripherals including keyboards, mice, hard drives, scanners, speakers, flash drives, external modems and other devices. Fax machines, DVD players, VCR’s, DVR’s and other video players, and cell phones. For Televisions 27” and larger call Veolia, (262) 367-6040, for a pickup or you may bring them to the Recycle Center.
